WHY CHITTHI EXISTS
A formal letter shouldn’t
stand in your way.
Knowing what to ask for is one thing. Finding the right format and tone is another. Chitthi is an early-stage project for students who want a simpler way to write everyday applications in Hindi and English.
Our aim is straightforward: a useful first draft, language you’re comfortable with, and the freedom to edit it before you send it.

A FEW QUICK ANSWERS
Before you send.
Is Chitthi free to try?
Yes. Letter-format drafts are free and do not require an account. The optional Claude pilot will require sign-in and have daily usage limits. There is no paid plan in this prototype.
Is the demo using AI?
“Letter format” uses the details you enter and a fixed format. “With Claude,” when available, uses the Claude API to improve and translate your notes. The form shows whether that pilot is available.
Can I write in Hindi?
Yes. Choose हिन्दी for a Hindi letter. For a letter-format draft, enter your notes in Hindi too. The Claude pilot will also translate Hindi, Hinglish or English notes into your selected letter language. Enter names and any custom subject as you want them to appear.
Where do my letter details go?
Letter-format drafts stay in your browser. If you choose an available Claude draft and confirm, Chitthi processes the form on its server and sends your request notes to Anthropic. Chitthi does not store letter text. Read our privacy notice for details.
Will Chitthi submit my application?
No. You review the draft and submit it through the channel your college or organisation requires. Chitthi helps you write; the recipient decides whether to accept your request.
